Who We Are
The SPARK Institute is a member-driven, non-profit organization that is the leading voice in Washington for the retirement plan industry. We help shape national retirement policy by developing and advancing positions on critical issues that affect plan sponsors, participants, service providers, and investment providers. Our members include recordkeepers, mutual fund companies, brokerage firms, insurance companies, banks, consultants, trade clearing firms and investment managers. Collectively, our members serve approximately 85 million participants in 401(k) and other defined contribution plans.
Join us for our 2-day fiduciary workshop, designed to offer attendees a chance to interact with their peers to get a common interpretation of the final regulations, identify broad considerations for compliance and organizational readiness and develop goals on how the industry implement these new regulations.
The workshop will start with a general session highlighting the major features of the final regulations. Then attendees will break into five separate discussion groups, covering: 1) Direct and Advisor Distributions; 2) Ongoing Service; 3) Servicing Retirement Participants; 4) Legal and Compliance and 5) Technology. On the second day, each discussion group will provide a summary of their individual sessions for the benefit of all attendees.
